Matthew Shepard Foundation Honors

February 6th, 2008 by Ryan Allen Carrillo

The Matthew Shepard Foundation recognized Ryan Allen Carrillo, April Corley and Tj Espinoza at the 10th Annual Madonna Party and Birthday Bash in Denver, Colorado on August 16, 2007.

They were honored in supporting the foundation for replacing hate with understanding, compassion and acceptance. Former Britney Spears dancer Tj Espinoza was the emcee of the event and opened the show. The highlight of the night was a live performance from US Skating Champions Ryan Allen Carrillo (Madonna’s Sorry Video) and April Corley (Assistant Choreographer Madonna’s Confessions Tour.)

Their powerful number included many death defying stunts and the final move had the audience on there feet. The Exdo Events Center and Tracks sponsored a Madonna Impersonator Competition winning two roundtrip tickets to London. Ryan and April were the judges in an “American Idol” style competition. Some contestants sang live, played instruments and some just had fun. The charity event was a tremendous success and created a huge buzz for the new convention center.
